Overview

Imagine living not in a home, but on a homestead. A traditional rural Arizona ranch, located on some of the most unique and aesthetically inviting property in the southwest. Covered with dramatic boulders and ancient trees, Talking Rock Ranch recreates what Arizona was like more than 100 years ago.

Talking Rock Ranch is located on approximately 3,500 acres just north of historic Prescott, Arizona. Much of the property is surrounded by National Forest land, and features an interesting mixture of visual elements including 75-mile vistas, ancient stands of juniper and pinion trees, dramatic boulder formations and Native Americans petroglyphs.

At the heart of Talking Rock Ranch is The Ranch Compound, which is designed around the theme of a historic Arizona ranch homestead. A place to pick up your mail at the community post office or meet your friends and neighbors for a cup of coffee or a workout. Amenities at our Ranch Compound will feature a golf pro shop, a casually elegant clubhouse and dining facility, a state of the art fitness center, and a complete swimming and tennis complex. Our extensive hiking, biking and jogging trails will provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the four-season climate for which Prescott is famous.

As for the golf course, architect Jay Morrish says the following - "Talking Rock Ranch is a par 72 golf course that will excite golfers of all levels. With holes incorporating meadows, a lake and great changes in elevation, golfer will be delighted by the sense of playing three different courses, all in one. From the back tees the course is long and demanding - over 7200 yards - and from the front tees quite rewarding. All green fronts are open so that a ball can be bounced to part of each putting surface without flying a hazard. Additionally and importantly, Talking Rock's carefully controlled use of water and chemicals is extremely sensitive to the environment. I will be very disappointed is it doesn't win environmental awards as well as golf awards."
