Overview

StoneRidge is designed to preserve and enhance the beauty of nature. The community's master plan includes seven individual

neighborhoods, each connected by pedestrian pathways that will bring you closer to the vibrant ecosystem of the mountain foothills. In addition, approximately 55% of the community features open spaces for walking, biking, or simply enjoying the beautiful views. An 18-hole golf course will meander through StoneRidge, providing an oasis of green in the rugged rock outcrops.

With the emphasis on creating a small-town feeling throughout StoneRidge, our homes offer front porches and extended outdoor living spaces, features that encourage neighborly visits and family gatherings. The golf course was designed by golf architect Randy Heckenhemper, a former design associate for Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. After having gained experience in zoning, master and site planning, and golf course design and construction with Weiskopf and Morrish, Randy ventured out on his own in 1985 and started Heckenkemper Golf Course Design

Randy describes the course at StoneRidge as follows:

"StoneRidge is one of the most beautiful and challenging designs I have ever created. This golf course is a desert/mountain course hybrid, with picturesque desert views and dramatic elevation changes. But a lot of times on mountain golf courses, the shots are too difficult, which makes a course lose its appeal. That's why we were careful to examine the layout of each hole on this course and make adjustments that would help StoneRidge be more player-friendly, while still offering challenge and beauty. It's a very solid course and one I'm very excited to complete."
